LOCATION SUMMARY
The village lies on a slight rise overlooking a fertile valley, surrounded by fields of wheat and olive trees. Huts made of mud-brick scatter throughout, with a communal well at the center. The atmosphere is tense as the villagers prepare for possible conflict in accordance with the laws set forth in Deuteronomy 20. You hear whispered discussions about the importance of being ready for battle and the need to keep their families and goods safe.

BASE LOOT
1. Woven Baskets: Simple, handmade baskets used for carrying grains or other goods.
2. Clay Jugs: Two intact jugs for storing water or oil, providing essential hydration and sustenance.

LOWER WISDOM DISCOVERY (Passive Wisdom: 12)
Noticing the unusually worn path leading away from the village suggests frequent travel or possibly a secret route used by villagers to escape or send messages.

HIGHER WISDOM DISCOVERY (Passive Wisdom: 16)
A character whose intuition shines may sense changes in the wind or the behavior of animals, hinting at an approaching storm that the villagers should be prepared for—or possibly an oncoming adversary.

OPTIONAL EVENT
As you search through the village, an elder approaches cautiously. She begs for your help, explaining that her son went missing while scouting the area. She offers a reward of a family heirloom in exchange for your assistance in finding him. The quest could lead to hidden dangers or the discovery of enemy plans.
