LOCATION SUMMARY

The setting is a small, ancient village lying at the edge of the plains of Moab, near the Jordan River. The air is filled with the scents of arid earth and thorny shrubs. The villagers, a mix of nomadic and settled tribes, have all gathered in an open space surrounded by stone structures and tents, where elders discuss the future leadership following Moses.
